As inclusive employers, our staff are representative of local communities and able to be themselves and thrive at their jobs. Achieving this requires equitable recruitment practices, the building and support of diverse teams, training in inclusive management and developing evaluation procedures to track and communicate progress.
This report on research conducted by the Museums Association in 2015-16 examined the British museum sector on the subject of diversity, concluding that "...there is an ethical imperative to make the case for more diverse and inclusive institutions".
